Industrial estate

There’s one near you as well.

Someone designed this.

The dump (at the car boot)

Logical that a car boot site (OK, it’s also a derelict industrial site) would have a dump containing unsellable stuff (looks sellable to me though).

The details are utterly beautiful.

Deep water (at a car boot)

This one isn’t in a field, it’s round the back of a crumbling Oxfordshire industrial estate.  And there’s a “Danger. 10ft Deep” ‘pond / pool’ thing full of slime (and a door).  Quite beautiful.

Bunker in a field

Usual stuff in it… Detritus. Paint. Graffiti.

It was just there, obviously.

Keep Delly (Dolly?) out of

From under the floor. He looks like a murderer but might have an OBE and might have something to do with cricket. Who cares – it’s just beautiful.

I imaging that everyone, when they move house, is excited about what they’ll find under the carpets. Just like me.

Le Mans

Last weekend was Le Mans (I mention this as it’s an important thing to me).

This was the newspaper that we found when pulling back some carpet at the new house. Just look how important Le Mans was back then. Radio and TV coverage on BBC 1, on a Sunday afternoon. And Radio. Radio 1!

So, when was this? Well, Radio 1 moved from 247m (to 275 / 285m) in November 1978 so it was before then. A detailed analysis of what seemed to be on telly could narrow it down.

Learning about ‘Farming in Israel’ sounds like fun. As does ‘New Clothes That Count’ (?).
